Publishing & domains
Publish your website, choose your free subdomain and connect your own domain.
Updated: June 23, 2026
Publishing makes your website publicly reachable. You manage it under Settings → Publish website.
Going live
When a website isn't published yet, you'll see a “Not published” status. Choose a subdomain and publish — the status switches to “Published” and you get a live URL plus the number of published files. The top bar's “View website” button opens the live page.
Your free subdomain
Every site can go live on a free your-name.wepp.app subdomain. Type your desired name; availability is checked as you type (a green check means it's free). Use at least three characters.
Connecting your own domain
Once published, owners can connect a custom domain. You'll point your domain to Wepp via your registrar's DNS settings and the status updates once it validates.
Enter your domain
Add the domain you own in the custom-domain settings.
Create the DNS record
Add the shown CNAME (and, for a bare domain, the A record) at your registrar.
Wait for validation
DNS changes can take a while to propagate; the status switches to active when ready.
Taking it offline
Unpublishing takes the public site offline while keeping your content and settings. You can publish again at any time.
